Do you sell through retail outlets?
Yes, Andrew Nyce Designs sells its Mokume Gane and Damascus Stainless Steel rings through both jewelry stores and galleries across the United States. Select this link to view a list of galleries and jewelry stores carrying our work.

What is your typical turnaround time?
Turnaround time for a handcrafted ring from Andrew Nyce Designs is 2 weeks to 6 weeks from the date the order is placed. Custom ring designs involving CAD will take 5 to 8 weeks.

What is the best way to place a ring order?
First, you should submit either a Request a Quote form or a Custom Quote form to get price(s) for the ring(s) or call us directly for a quote over the phone. Assuming the quote is in line with your budget, you can place an order by calling us with your shipping and billing addresses and your credit card information. If you still have ring design questions after receiving the quote, we would be happy to talk them over with you.

What is the Request a Quote Form?
Request a Quote forms are used for obtaining price quotes on any rings from the Andrew Nyce Designs Collections shown on this website. Request a Quote forms are specific to a ring ID. The forms are located beneath the ring descriptions on each and every product page. Once you fill out the form and submit it, we will provide you with a price quote within one business day of receiving your quote request.

What is the Custom Quote Form?
Custom Quote forms are used for obtaining price quotes on a custom-designed ring (i.e., a ring that is not shown on the Andrew Nyce Designs website or a ring you would want to create yourself and choose all ring features such as ring thickness and Comfort Fit). We are more than happy to work with you on designing the ring that is right for you. We would highly recommend that you read the web pages on Designing Your Ring for either Mokume Gane or Damascus Stainless Steel. Links to Custom Ring Quote Forms are located on each and every product page. Once you fill out the form and submit it, we will provide you with a price quote within two business days of receiving your Custom Quote request. Alternatively, you can call us and we can guide you through the steps of custom designing your ring.

What are your payment options?
Andrew Nyce Designs accepts Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. Personal checks also are accepted on a case-by-case basis. Upon placing a ring order with Andrew Nyce Designs, 50% of the total purchase price is due; 50% is due prior to shipping the order.

Do you ship international and how much will I pay for customs?
Yes, Andrew Nyce Designs ships to most countries around the world. We charge for shipping and insurance for international orders. The exact amount depends upon the value of the ring(s). Contact your local customs office for exact customs tax and duties applicable to your purchase.

Do you supply sample rings to prospective clients?
Yes. Selected ring samples are available to assist customers in making their final decision. These samples will not necessarily be the size, width or product ID that you are interested in purchasing. However, they will provide you with opportunity to see the craftsmanship that goes into each ring as well as the colors of the Mokume rings and the metallic luster of the Damascus rings. We will do our best to allow prospective buyers the opportunity to view rings in person. We realize that touch and feel is an important consideration when making such a personal purchase decision. Please note that Andrew Nyce Designs is a design studio that crafts made-to-order custom rings. We do not operate a gallery. As such, we have a limited number of sample rings in our studio. We require that the prospective client pays for shipping and insurance of the ring(s) both ways. In addition, we require prospective clients to allow us to charge their credit card 50% of the retail value of the sample ring(s). If you decide to make a purchase, the deposit can be applied to the down payment for the ring(s). If you decide not to make a purchase, your deposit will be refunded when the sample ring(s) are returned.

Do you sell diamonds and other precious stones?
Yes, Andrew Nyce Designs sells diamonds, sapphires, rubies, emeralds, as well as Moissanite, birthstones, and other precious stones. We can assist you in selecting the diamond or other precious stone that is right for both your ring and your budget. We offer very competitive prices. The primary supplier of our diamonds and precious stones is Stuller (www.stuller.com). All large Stuller diamonds come with a certification and a one-year insurance policy.

How do I determine my ring size?
When you order a ring from Andrew Nyce Designs, we will send you a set of calibrated ring finger gauges to ensure an exact fit. Calibrated ring finger gauges will provide us with your ring size measurement in quarter-size increments. If you purchased a wide or narrow ring, you will be sent a corresponding narrow or a wide ring gauge along with instructions on how to obtain your ring size accurately. If you don’t know your ring size, obtain a preliminary ring size measurement at a jewelry store. This preliminary measurement will enable us to send you the correct calibrated ring finger gauges that will provide the most accurate ring size measurement.

Can I have my ring engraved?
Yes. We will provide a quote for the engraving once you have finalized what you would like engraved.

Can I visit your studio?
The Andrew Nyce Designs studio is located in Portland, Maine. All customers in the process of making a decision about purchasing your ring(s) are welcome to visit and tour our studio. Please call toll free at 866-666-5010 (US and Canada) to set up an appointment.
